    Delhi
    Arrival + Delhi

    Land, rest, Old Delhi rickshaw at dusk.

  2. DAY 02
    Bodhgaya
    Fly Delhi → Gaya + Mahabodhi

    The Bodhi tree + Mahabodhi Temple at dusk.

  3. DAY 03
    Bodhgaya
    Monastery loop

    Thai, Bhutanese, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese — every Buddhist country has a monastery here.

  4. DAY 04
    Rajgir
    Bodhgaya → Rajgir

    Drive (~3 hrs). Vulture Peak sunset — where the Buddha delivered the Heart Sutra.

  5. DAY 05
    Nalanda
    Nalanda ruins

    Excavated 5th-century university, Xuanzang Memorial nearby. Half a day easy.

  6. DAY 06
    Varanasi
    Nalanda → Varanasi

    Drive (~5 hrs). Evening Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh.

  7. DAY 07
    Sarnath
    Sarnath — first sermon

    Dhamek Stupa, museum with the Lion Capital, plus Chaukhandi Stupa. Half-day plus.

  8. DAY 08
    Varanasi
    Sunrise boat + old city

    5 am boat, morning cremation-ghat visit (respectfully), lassi at Blue Lassi Shop.

  9. DAY 09
    Varanasi
    Fly home

    Direct flight Varanasi → home hub.
