The four stone‑and‑glass cabins are deliberately sparse – no minibars, no television, just a wood‑burner, a pair of hand‑loomed blankets and a balcony that looks out over the snow‑capped peaks of Trisul and Nanda Devi; book the uppermost unit if you want sunrise over the Dhauliganga gorge, but be prepared for the cold snap that hits at 5 am even in June. The only restaurant is a single‑chef kitchen serving seasonal Kumaoni fare – try the bhang ki roti with local mushroom bharta, and insist on a late lunch (around 2 pm) to avoid the chef’s midday rehearsal of the tea ceremony.
